My weekly food plan


My food plan starts on a Saturday as we go food shopping for the main shop either on Friday evening or Saturday morning depending on what time John gets home from work,mostly it will be Friday.

Main meals (our main meal is eaten in the evening,Sunday we have a lunch or brunch for our main meal)

Saturday – Chicken curry,basmati rice and Naan bread

Sunday – Brunch (full English for lunch)

Monday – Roast chicken and stuffing with roast potatoes ,cauliflower cheese ,sprouts,carrots and gravy

Tuesday – Pasta bake

Wednesday – Sausage and bean cassulet

Thursday – Stuffed jackets(bacon,spring onion and cheese stuffed baked potatoes) with baked beans,Johns favourite comfort food

Friday – Leek and potato soup and sandwich (before shopping)

Breakfast is usually,toast and cereals for John eaten on his breaks from driving during the week ,for me maybe poached eggs on toast and I love cinnamon and raisin bagels or French toast with berries or baked plums.

Lunches,John takes a packed lunch, I will have soup and a sandwich,a jacket potato with chilli or cheese and beans.
